Amplifon – Center Parcs Sherwood Forest

Case study

Amplifon held their annual conference, organised by Inception Events, from 7th to 8th February 2014, with 410 UK and overseas delegates attending the residential summit.

The Venue was the dedicated meeting and events space at Center Parcs Sherwood Forest with team building activities taking place around the village. The Woodland lodges were the setting for the weekend’s accommodation.

Upon arrival attendees checked in before walking through to register at Hucks restaurant.

The main sponsor of the event GN ReSound held an exhibition in The Venue’s Oak Suite, in which delegates were encouraged to view and demo their new digital hearing aid technology.

The cabaret and theatre themed room played host to the opening speech by main speaker, CEO Steve Fleming with coffee served shortly after.

Once the formalities of the business review and marketing update had finished everyone broke for lunch at Hucks restaurant where they were served with a two course buffet.

The afternoon saw the launch of the new ReSound LiNXTM digital hearing aids which are compatible with iPhones, iPads and iPods headed by GN ReSound’s David Nygren. This was then followed by team building activities provided by Center Parcs. Guests were split into teams embarking on a bespoke orienteering venture, taking part in various tasks around the village.

The evening celebrations started with pre-dinner drinks in the lodges, before arriving back at The Venue where a three- course gala dinner awaited them featuring a pâté starter, a main course of chicken and a lemon meringue dessert. This was preceded by a lavish ceremony, where 18 awards were presented. The celebrations continued until the early hours of the morning, with guests being entertained by a live band and disco.

On the final day, breakfast was provided in their accommodation before check out at 10am, with delegates free to use the facilities before departing.
