Our CEO had run successful conferences at Center Parcs in their previous role, so we knew the venue would be a great fit.
What were your core goals and objectives?
The event was our Annual Conference focused on our General Managers’ and Head Chefs’ leadership skills.
Which activities did delegates enjoy as part of the event? How did these tie in with your core goals and objectives?
We opted for leisure activities which tied in with our overarching leadership objectives. We enjoyed a bespoke Adventure Quest with three main ‘stations’ around the village – the waterfront, Action Challenge and the Outdoor Activity Centre.
For the Adventure Quest, delegates were split into six teams. Two teams went head-to-head at each station, then every 20/30 minutes they rotated between the three main areas – a Laser Combat tournament at the Outdoor Activity Centre, completing several adrenaline-fueled activities at Action Challenge, and racing Katakanus on the lake. The winning team was the one with the most points at the end.
What happened throughout the event?
Delegates arrived at Center Parcs at 10.15am, enjoying some refreshments in The Venue and collecting t-shirts for the day. There were then three company presentations, followed by lunch at 12.30pm. After lunch it was time for the activities which lasted all afternoon, ending at 4.45pm when delegates headed to their rooms onsite for some downtime.
At 6.30pm there was a drinks reception in The Venue, followed by dinner and an awards ceremony. Guests enjoyed a DJ and dancing after dinner, before retiring back to their lodges at 1am.
The next morning, Center Parcs dropped a breakfast package to each lodge before delegates headed home.
