As we celebrate the one-year anniversary of The Venue at Sherwood Forest, we reflect on the remarkable year we’ve had since completing its £4.5 million refurbishment.
The transformation has redefined corporate events at Center Parcs, combining cutting-edge facilities with a stunning forest setting. The Venue now boasts a major extension, a new lakefront entrance and welcome area, additional meeting spaces, two new outdoor terraces, state-of-the-art AV and lighting systems and a new interior design style inspired by the natural world – all in the heart of the forest. Unsurprisingly, event planners, delegates and our own team absolutely love the new space!
Results which speak for themselves
From January to December 2024, The Venue at Sherwood Forest hosted 116 events, welcoming 7,279 delegates. This included over 9,000 overnight stays, 21,837 refreshment breaks, 5,223 cycles hired and 47 activity days – showing that not only are delegates attending corporate events at The Venue, they’re experiencing everything Center Parcs has to offer.
Our clients, many of whom are returning customers or discovering Sherwood Forest as an alternative to Woburn Forest, have been enthusiastic about the new facilities. Major names such as Boots, Turtle Bay, and Peugeot have chosen Center Parcs for their corporate events, and we’ve received glowing testimonials from companies like GBP Consult, who said,

One of our standout moments came when Specsavers, our very first client following the refurbishment, booked The Venue again for this year. This strong repeat business is a testament to the lasting impression The Venue at Sherwood Forest has made. And of course, it’s not just about the space - it’s about the people who make it all happen.
