Fantastic Hospitality courtesy of Woburn Forest

Case study

On Wednesday 1st July, 15 lucky PAs and readers of Executive PA Magazine were invited to attend a fun-filled day of activities with dinner and an overnight stay at Center Parcs’ newest Village, Woburn Forest.

Situated less than an hour from London with brilliant rail links direct from Kings Cross St. Pancras and Blackfriars, the readers soon found themselves deep within the hidden world of Woburn Forest.

After everyone arrived at The Venue, the less than a year old purpose built conference space and finalist of the 2015 Conference Awards for Best Conference Venue; guests were given a rundown of the days itinerary by Head of Sales, Ryan Gray.

Readers were then split into two groups for a whistle-stop tour of some of the most iconic areas of the Village. From the world-class facilities of the Aqua Sana Spa to the brilliant tranquility of the lake and on to the world-famous Subtropical Swimming Paradise, the PAs took it all in in the glorious sunshine.

Upon returning to The Venue, a selection of dishes from the brand new menus were served included chicken and bacon salad, lamb tagine and mushroom gnocchi. There were quite a few words of praise around the table.

Then up stepped the more intrepid few of the bunch for a spot of orienteering! Split into three teams the readers headed off into the Village and surrounding woodland armed with a GPS tracker and a few hints. The aim of the game was to find Cyril the Squirrel and all participants got their own Cyril to take home!

Time to relax after a very hot day; we opened the doors to our award-winning spa, Aqua Sana. Equipped with heat rooms, cold rooms (which were to prove popular on a day hitting 34 degrees) and, of course, a stunning infinity pool, the relaxation factor was well and truly turned up before meeting back at The Venue for pre-dinner Prosecco.

Following drinks on a terrace drenched in evening sun, a truly delightful dinner was enjoyed courtesy of Rajinda Pradesh, our fine dining Indian restaurant. Then it was off to bowling, a great informal experience for the PAs to take in one of the relaxed post-conference offerings that are available at this truly unique venue.

Overnight accommodation was provided for all in our Woodland Lodges and guests were able to take the rest of the stay at their leisure.

The unique selling point of Center Parcs is the ability to accommodate large numbers of delegates in a unique forest setting. The outdoor environment provides alternative options to a regular conference and the wide choice of activities and restaurants on site also set Center Parcs apart from competitors - everything is offered in one memorable Village location.
